Ana Tate was a female Woodsboro High student, co-writer of Surviving the Massacres – along with Sidney Prescott and Kirby Reed – as well as one of the survivors of the third and fourth Woodsboro massacres, and the Seattle Massacre.

When Ana was a junior in high school, she was friends with seniors Olivia Morris, Jill Roberts, and Kirby Reed, as well as a member of Cinema Club. At some point, Ana dated Alex Sheldon, the younger brother of the deceased Trevor Sheldon, whom she eventually broke up with at the end of the third Woodsboro massacre for unknown reasons. At some point after the Seattle massacre, Ana moved back to Woodsboro and eventually started dating Alex again; eventually, Ana became pregnant and gave birth to their first child at some point prior to the fourth Woodsboro massacre.

Ana continued to survive the last Ghostface killing spree and was proposed to by Alex, whom she married.
